Deborah Jo Dunham

Ms. Dunham is a graduate of Boston College School of Nursing with advanced study in Cardiovascular Nursing and Cardiothoracic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. She is currently in private practice at Paul M. Popper, MD PA of Port Charlotte, Florida.


Her specialties include, adult non-invasive and interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure management, advanced lipid management, advanced hypertensive management, clinical instruction and clinical research. She has been instrumental in the growth and development of Advanced Nursing Practice and the Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Nursing and Research Programs in Charlotte County.


She is known for her contributions as a faculty member of local, state and national healthcare programs and institutions. She has served as the local President and the State Healthsite Chairwomen for the American Heart Association. Ms. Dunham has been recognized by the Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a leader in her field for her outstanding contributions to the improvement of healthcare for individuals, families and the community in the field of Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiovascular Nursing. In 2002, she earned the AANP award of distinction for Clinical Excellence for the State of Florida and Nurse Practitioner of the Year.
